Hi, my name is Doeun. Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.

In an episode of The Playlist, a programmer says something along the lines of: "Code can be beautiful. When I learned to program, I saw that it was pure. No ambiguities. Nothing to interpret. Nothing to convey. That's perfection." I love programming and this narration captures its essence nicely.

Music is also very important to me. I recently watched Tonic Walter live. They perform electronic insturments in real time with analog synthesizers to add warmth and depth to their sound. I love that they push the boundaries of expressivity by blending human timing, imperfection, and spontaneity into electronic structures.

A few times a year, I go camping with friends. In summer 2025, we went quite a bit, and even got to sneak in my first backpacking trip to Hanover Lake.

That summer, I also sold my mountain bike and bought a single speed bike. It felt freeing to strip away the fancy stuff.

Thanks for reading. Say hi at bkwon38@gmail.com.
